perlconsole software package provides small program that lets you evaluate Perl code interactively, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install perlconsole
perlconsole is installed in your system.
Make ensure the perlconsole package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep perlconsole *
You will get with perlconsole package name, version, architecture and description in a table
